Yosemite National Park

I’ve always wanted to visit California ever since I first heard about the states. As I’m writing this I can tell you that this dream is finally true. I’m currently in the city of San Francisco and wow, I really like this place. Everyone is so friendly, and it feels a lot like home around here. I’ve been living in California for a month now and I cannot put into words how much fun I’ve had. Where should I even start? Maybe with all the new friends I’ve met, Or one of my many adventures? If I have to choose one, I would definitely recommend visiting Yosemite National Park. Now you might wonder what is so special about it, it’s just a park. But no, it’s not just a park, it is indescribable. First off,  it has deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias and a vast wilderness area. Just take a look for yourself, and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

I started this adventurous day off by waking up at 7 am. It was early and of course I was hella tired. My friend picked me up with her car from my apartment and we went to the local store before the long ride and bought some breakfast for our trip to the valley. It took us almost four hours to get to the valley, and I was very excited. The road trip were very long but also interesting. We saw a lot of the Californian nature and listened to some good music, volume on the max of course.

We parked the car and began our hiking through the valley. This whole experience was unbelievable, I’ve never seen such beautiful nature ever in my life and on our was to el cap, the highest mountain in the valley, something unimaginable happened. I met one of my biggest inspirations, Alex Honnold. For those of you who don’t know who it is I can tell you that he’s a free climber and has climbed el cap without ropes or anything. How crazy isn’t that? I am myself really into climbing and I’ve been climbing for years.Meeting him was a big thing for me. I took some pictures with him and had a little chat. He was actually super friendly and all his stories amazed me a lot. Damn, I wish I could go back once again but next time I’d really like to climb some of the mountains like Alex, not without a rope, though… I’m not as tough as him.
